Elephant Cake! ~ Gemma's 30th

Gemma is Elephant MAD!

This cake just HAD to be an elephant - I think its quite effective!.
Doing the 'wringles' was quite addictive!

The pattern on the headdress and blanket was done by pressing an embossed button into the fondant! - I knew I held onto that fancy button for a reason!
I decorated the sides of the cake to match the colours used on the 'ceremonial dress', using an 'Asian theme' - (I can never remember which have bigger ears! - African or Asian Elephants!)
The few 'jewels' on his blanket are midget gems!

I love this elephant cake! I know it's been ages since you made it, but can you talk a little more about how you developed it? Is it all fondant? Thanks!
