Lea & Mark's wedding cake

This cake was so much fun to do!........my brief was to capture the essence of the wedding. Having got married somewhere very exotic! - this couple travelled the world before returning home to their wedding reception in the UK.

The cake was 3 tier, one tier coconut cake, one carrot cake and one fruit cake. The cake was iced with ivory icing, ribbon and a pearl effect garland.

The bottom tier (fruit cake) was decorated with handmade figures of the couple in their wedding atire and also an arrangement of hand made ('sugar craft') exotic flowers.

The middle tier (carrot cake with passion fruit filling) was decorated with flags of the countries visited by the couple during their honeymoon.

And finally the top tier (coconut cake filled with coconut cream icing)- decorated with another arrangement of handmade exotic flowers, arranged in a real coconut shell.
